Bunion Sleeve® will apply gentle pressure, realigning the big toe. The hole in the toe is designed to help to prevent too much pressure building up. We recommend wearing Bunion Sleeve® for a few hours at a time until you get used to it. If you want to wear Bunion Sleeve® while you are asleep you might prefer a slightly larger size. Wearing a smaller size during exercise often works well.

The hole is an extremely important factor in the effectiveness of Bunion Sleeve®. Without the hole there is a risk of too much pressure building up. The hole releases the pressure which could otherwise cause pain. The hole should be positioned in the middle of the big toe. You might need to gently twist Bunion Sleeve® so that it is positioned correctly.

No. Bunion Sleeve® is made of very delicate fibres and carefully constructed in two layers in order to be effective. Although Bunion Sleeve® will suffer normal wear and tear, hand washing will extend its life considerably. Simply hand wash with a natural soap in cold water and allow to air dry. This can be done every day so that you can enjoy wearing a fresh Bunion Sleeve® in the morning and at night again before bed.

The seam on Bunion Sleeve® should be on the top of your foot with the pressure release hole in the middle of your big toenail. Please make sure your toenails are neatly trimmed.

If you need to change the size, just return the Bunion Sleeve® in its original packaging and unworn with the completed returns form on the packaging slip we included and we will exchange and dispatch the new size as soon as we receive it.

You should be able to tell immediately if the Bunion Sleeve® will be right for you, by trying the correct size. If your bunion is too advanced you will find the big toe may be too stiff to realign. This is why we recommend the Bunion Sleeve® for mild to moderate bunions. If you feel the Bunion Sleeve® is not right for you after trying it on, return the Bunion Sleeve® in its original packaging and unworn with the completed returns form on the packaging slip we included within 30 days for a refund (less postage and handling charges).

After wearing Bunion Sleeve®, the material will start to relax. In time it may feel looser but this will not compromise Bunion Sleeve’s® effectiveness. Like anything worn, normal daily wear and tear will obviously cause Bunion Sleeve® to deteriorate over time. 

Bunion Sleeve® is made of two layers so over time, and depending on the amount of care taken, the material may fray slightly in some places, but the functionality of Bunion Sleeve® will not be affected. If Bunion Sleeve® is too tight it can cause pain so be careful to be sure you have selected the correct size before wearing. Wear Bunion Sleeve® for shorter intervals initially so that your foot has time to adjust to the change in alignment. Gradually increase the time you wear Bunion Sleeve®. Consider wearing the next size up while sleeping so that there is not too much pressure on your foot while you are not active. After exercising the next size up might be more comfortable if your feet swell.
