SUPPORT HEART HEALTH. Vitamin K2 activates a protein responsible for limiting the buildup of calcium deposits in the arteries. Calcium deposits eventually form a plaque that can harden the arteries and negatively affect cardiovascular health.
MORE BIOACTIVE FORM OF VITAMIN K. Vitamin K2 is fat soluble, which makes it more bioavailable in the gut than the water-soluble vitamin K1. The MK-7 isoform allows this form of vitamin K2 to circulate around the body for longer periods of time — giving it more time to do its job.
ASSIST BONE FORMATION. One of the primary components of our bones — calcium requires the help of vitamin K to join with other structural elements like osteocalcin. Without it, we’re unable to maintain the structural integrity of our bones.
MANUFACTURED IN ISO LICENSED FACILITIES IN THE UK. Our UK based team of experts source only the highest quality ingredients that meet our strict quality control standards. Gower Health Vitamin K capsules are Vegetarian & Vegan friendly, free from GMOs, Gluten & Dairy.

What is Vitamin K?
Vitamin K is a group of essential nutrients obtained through the diet. It’s involved with the coagulation of blood and the binding of calcium in bones and other organs. The original name for vitamin K was derived from the German word koagulation.
This vitamin is critically important for over 17 different protein reactions involved with cardiovascular and bone health. The European Food Safety Authority considers vitamin K an essential nutrient in the maintenance of healthy bones.
There are two main types of vitamin K — vitamins K1 and K2.
Vitamin K1 is found in green leafy vegetables, while vitamin K2 is found in fermented foods like aged cheese.
Vitamin K2 can be further broken down into different isoforms referred to as vitamin K2 MK-4, all the way up to vitamin K2 MK-13. The MK stands for “menaquinone” which refers to the individual side-chain attached to the vitamin K2 molecule.
Vitamin K2 MK-7 has received the most attention lately and has been called an “enhanced, bioactive form of vitamin K”.
What makes Vitamin K2 MK7 so special?
Vitamin K2 MK-7 is a fat-soluble form of vitamin K. Fat-soluble forms are more bioavailable to the body than water-soluble forms, especially when eaten with high-fat foods.
The longer side-chain on MK-7 allows the vitamin to circulate around the bloodstream for longer periods of time.
Researchers believe the longer circulation time allows the body to use the vitamin more efficiently — providing more effective support for bone formation, blood clotting, and cardiovascular health.
